The Symposium Workshop Reading

Spark Theatre Festival gave me a space to see The Symposium put on its feet for the very first time. This modern adaptation tells the story of Socrates, a folk pop musician rising to stardom, and Agathon, a gifted playwright having doubts about her relationship. At her dinner party, Agathon’s friends compete for Socrates’ attention and discuss the nature of love. This reading featured Alex Keane, India Stachyra, Ema Zivkovic, Dom Martello, Nathaniel Stornelli, Emily Bollman, Marco Cunha, and Sarah Hubner. It was directed by Sam Im.
